Mental Health Centre
The Mental Health Center was established in June 2011 based on a memorandum signed between Ilia State University and the GIF-Tbilisi Foundation (Global Initiative in Psychiatry-Tbilisi) to promote the field of mental health.
The tasks of the centre are:
- Conduct regular high-level training, workshops and seminars with the participation of foreign experts to promote the development of the mental field;
- To promote translation and publishing activities, scientific research;
- Provide students and field specialists with specialized library services.
Since 2012, the Centre of the Mental Health supports the Ilia State University Mental Health master's program; it helps with the library resources and various professional meetings. The Centre is famous for its library, working space and network of experts.
Since March 2019, based on the Ilia State University, the Centre provides psychological consultations for students of all levels. We target a wide range of problems: crises and emerging mental health conditions - anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorders, psychosomatic disorders; Also, different types of emotional or behavioural problems, such as concentration problems, fatigue, and others. The service is provided by the graduates of the Ilia State University Mental Health master's program and their supervisors.
