Education Research Centre
The Education Research Centre is a newly established interfaculty unit at Ilia State University, dedicated to supporting research and dialogue on key issues in education.
Founded in 2024 through a joint initiative of the Faculty of Business, Technology and Education and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Centre was created as a space where researchers, students, policy analysts and practitioners can come together to examine the challenges and opportunities facing education in Georgia and beyond.
Research & Teaching
The Centre combines research and educational activities, offering opportunities for both academic inquiry and public engagement in education.
Our key goals include:
- Producing reliable, relevant research in the field of education;
- Promoting interdisciplinary research and systemic analysis in education;
- Promoting evidence-informed decision-making;
- Creating a space for professional development for researchers and practitioners.
We support the involvement of MA and PhD students in ongoing research projects and help guide their work within broader, systemic frameworks in education.
What We Do
The Centre partners with local and international institutions to develop collaborative research and educational programs.
- We conduct and support research on education policy, governance, teaching and learning, and digital transformation;
