Research objectives are the following:

a) examine student competencies for democratic citizenship and diversify results according to school types (location, teaching language, status, cultural identities of school communities); b) establish a correlation between student competencies for democratic citizenship and their civic activities; c) develop and introduce differential pedagogical approaches encouraging the development of student competencies for democratic citizenship (CDC) and civic activity through the transformation of school culture elements.
