The historical work of Oman Khelkheulidze is available in Georgian manuscripts under more than 30 different
titles.
The academic editions of Kartlis Tskhovreba (The Georgian Chronicles) contain data only from about 20
manuscripts. Today, we already know 60 manuscripts containing compositions of Kartlis Tskhovreba, and we
believe this number will rise even more.
We will not continue to list the scientific novelties of the work (this summary cannot contain them), the
second revised and expanded edition of which the presented project aims to publish.
The initial edition of Original and Translated Georgian Historical Literature (A Bibliography of
Manuscripts) was printed with limited copies; It is only available in electronic format. The second edition will
be given as a gift to specialists in the field and it will be distributed in libraries, universities, and scientific
institutions with the relevant profile.
