Institute of Socio-Ecology and Ethno-Biology
Ilia State University Institute of Socio-Ecology and Ethnobiology was established in 2015 (Director Prof. Zaal Kikvidze). The main direction of its research is ethnobiology of Georgia, which includes ethnobotanical, ethnozoological and ethnoecological studies. One of the main directions of these studies is the research and documentation of traditional ecological knowledge.
