5th International Symposium and School “Brain and Neuroplasticity: Structural and Molecular Aspects” will be held in Tbilisi, 25-30 May,2023 (Symposium:25-27 May, School:27-30 May). Working language is English. The concept is to support the development of neurobiology/nanoneurobiology/experimental neurology in Georgia; to attract young scientists to this field; to maintain the integration of Georgian neuroscientists/nanoneuroscientists in international scientific community. Organization of such events is Georgian tradition: the data obtained by newest technical approaches and modern directions of Neuroplasticity studies are discussing. On 2023, the priority will be given to multimodal/superresolution microscopy. Symposium participants will be 80 neuroscientists, nanoneuroscientists, representatives of experimental medicine, clinicians/neurologists, microscopists from Georgia, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Hungary, Israel, Finland and other countries. 5 plenary presentations, 9 sessions (different directions of neuroplasticity and microscopy studies), poster session and session of young scientists will be given. Sigma Xi traditionally will give an award to the author of the best poster presentation among young scientists. Additional sessions are: Neuronal Cell Lines or Animal Studies? Neuroscience Promotion; Neuroscience and Ethics; Women in Neuroscience; Round Table “Neuroscience Perspectives”. Special time for discussions/new collaboration planning will be offered. School participants will be 20 young neuroscientists from Georgian universities and scientific centers. The topics of lectures(27-28 May) and trainings(28-30 May) are: Electron-microscopy/electron-microscopic immunocytochemistry/electron-microscopic morphometry; Atomic-force microscopy; Correlative microscopy; Molecular architecture; Multimodal/superresolution microscopy; Three-dimensional neuron. Lecturers/trainers will be Georgian and foreign participants of meeting. All topics are under the area of expertise of organizers. Besides, they have multi-year experience in the organization of international scientific meetings.
