Georgia Seen through the Eyes of the Jews - Archiving and Literary-Linguistic Analysis of Georgian Printed Products Issued in Israel
Israel is the country where the amount of print products published in the Georgian language is higher than in any other country outside Georgia. The Jews lived in Georgia for 26 centuries and began repatriating to their historic homeland of Israel in the 1970s. So, the Jews have been producing a variety of print media/periodicals, literary, publicist and popular science products for about 50 years now which is an inseparable part of Georgian publicism and literature, but most part of it remains unknown or unavailable for a large part of the Georgian society. This printing industry is directed towards a common goal: to popularize and preserve Georgian culture and identity in their historical homeland.
