Business Research Centre
The goal of the Business School Center is:
- Empirical study/analysis of current / critical issues / new trends/problems/challenges in the field of business and development of practical recommendations (effective and innovative ways to solve problems);
- Provide research and consulting services to organizations (business, governmental, non-governmental);
- Holding conferences, forums, public discussions and seminars on current topics related to business;
- Development of cases on business organizations in the Georgian market;
- Approximation of theory with practice, in particular, development of theory and increase of its applicability in practice;
- Integrate research results into training courses;
- Establishing a network of researchers interested in business research and promoting their activities;
- Implementation of joint and/or comparative research projects with international higher education institutions, leading research centres/consortia.
The tasks of the research centre are
- Development, promotion and diversification of research activities with the direct participation of the academic staff of the School of Business and researchers;
- Encourage the involvement of doctoral and postgraduate students in research activities;
- Diversification of funding sources to ensure financial sustainability;
- Organizing research presentations, seminars and discussions on various current business topics;
- Preparation of research-based publications for international conferences and peer-reviewed journals;
- Activity in local magazines or media and preparation of thematic blogs in order to raise awareness of the Center's activities.
